Aldi has exciting plans for a new store next to the A435, providing local people with easier access to our high quality, great value offer.

The proposal will enhance local shopping choice, reduce the need to travel and create up to 40 new jobs, which Aldi would seek to recruit from the local area.

What will we do for Bishops Cleeve?

Great value high quality goods across every range. Helping locals tackle the cost of living crisis.

Bring a multi-million investment to the local economy.

30-40 full and part time employment opportunities, paid at an industry-leading rate.

A sustainable location within walking distance to the local community and accessible by bus, improving the offer for Bishops Cleeve and the surrounding catchment area.

Future proof facilities including electric vehicle charging points.

The site

The site is next to the A435. At the moment the site is used as The Grange car park for the surrounding business estate.

We are aware there are homes to the south and north of the site. We look forward to being good neighbours to residents both within the immediate vicinity and across the Bishops Cleeve area and have carefully considered this as part of the scheme evolution. If you have any concerns however, please contact us on 0800 148 8911 or info@aldibishopscleeve.co.uk.

Access

Vehicle access will remain the same as for the existing car park – through the access to Grange Park off the A435. The site will also be accessible on foot and by bus.

The plans

We’re proposing a new Aldi discount food store alongside around 110 car park spaces for shoppers. The site will be developed, using sustainable construction materials and techniques, to provide a fresh, modern, new Aldi discount food store.
